The Indian Street Premier League (ISPL), also referred to as the ISPL T10 League, emerges as a novel cricket competition aimed at unearthing and honing fresh talents within the sport. Its primary objective lies in identifying, nurturing, and propelling budding players onto the cricketing stage, particularly those who struggle to garner attention, by providing them with a conducive and competitive environment.
At the helm of the tournament stands Ravi Shastri as the chief mentor, alongside Pravin Amre and Jatin Paranjpe, who spearhead the selection committee.
The league features teams owned by prominent figures from the Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu film industries. Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan possesses Majhi Mumbai, while Akshay Kumar holds Srinagar Ke Veer. Hrithik Roshan presides over the Bangalore Strikers, Suriya commands the Chennai Singhams, and Ram Charan oversees the Falcon Risers Hyderabad. Additionally, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan jointly own the Tiigers of Kolkata.
The commencement of the Street Cricket League is scheduled for March 6, inaugurating with a match between Amitabh Bachchan’s Majhi Mumbai and Akshay Kumar’s Srinagar Ke Veer at 7 PM. All matches will be hosted at the Dadoji Kondadev Stadium in Thane, Mumbai.
Preceding the inaugural match, an exclusive cricket encounter is set to take place during the opening ceremony. Sachin Tendulkar will lead Team Master’s 11 against Team Khiladi XI, led by Akshay Kumar, on March 6 at 5 PM.

The Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) T10 2024 tournament got underway on March 6 with a special celebrity match between Khiladi XI and Masters XI in Mumbai. It was a star-studded line-up with Sachin Tendulkar captaining Master’s XI and Bollywood star Akshay Kumar leading Khiladi XI. Being put to bat, Tendulkar and his team scored 95/7 in 10 overs with the captain leading from the front, scoring 30 runs off just 17 balls. Yusuf Pathan also smashed 21 runs off 10 deliveries. In response, Khiladi XI were restricted to 89/6 despite Irfan Pathan smashing 32 runs off eight balls. Munaf Patel starred with figures of 3/9 in his two overs.
